Sri Lankan Street Food

Sri Lankan street food is unique for their Culture. Most of the Sri Lankans eat vegetables. With a large community of farmers the Rice and curry is the main food in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka curries are known for their fiery hot spicy flavors and coconut milk is very distinct feature of Sri Lankan cuisine that different regions of country specialize in different types of dishes. Roti is a very easy to prepare meal served in most restaurants or food stalls. It looks like a  pancake, but it is more of a flat bread. Roti can be served with any fruit or melted chocolate as a dessert or with a fish or vegetables as a lunch or evening meal.

Chips and Fries are another favorite street food in Sri Lanka. But these aren’t your normal potato chips or fries but are made out of tapioca yams (manioc).
